Marketing communications
When you make a purchase or otherwise provide us with your email address, we may add you to our marketing list on the basis of our legitimate interest in keeping existing and prospective customers informed about our products, new arrivals, and offers. Every marketing email includes a clear unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time, free of charge, with no effect on any order you have placed or any other service we provide you. Where required by law in your country, we will instead ask for your consent before adding you to our marketing list.
4. Payment information
Payments are processed by Shopify Payments and, where selected, PayPal. Your card details are entered directly into these providers' secure systems and are not stored on our servers. We receive confirmation that payment has been made, together with limited information necessary to process and reconcile your order.
5. Who we share your personal information with
We share personal information with the following categories of recipients, each acting as an independent controller or as our processor as appropriate:
- Shopify — our ecommerce platform provider, which hosts the Site and processes orders on our behalf.
- Payment processors (Shopify Payments, PayPal) — to process and verify payment.
- Delivery and logistics partners, including Sendcloud and the couriers it connects us to — to fulfil and track delivery of your order.
- Customs and tax authorities in the destination country — where your order is shipped internationally on a Delivered Duty Paid basis, we transmit the information required to clear customs and account for import duty and tax, including your name, delivery address, and details of the goods ordered.
- Tidio — if you contact us through live chat, your messages and any contact details you share are processed by Tidio on our behalf.
- HMRC and our accountants — where required to meet our tax and accounting obligations.
- Professional advisers, such as our legal and financial advisers, where necessary.
- Law enforcement or regulators, where we are legally required to disclose information.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes without your consent.
6. International transfers of your personal information
We operate internationally, and your personal information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside the United Kingdom and European Economic Area, including Pakistan, where our operations office is located, and other countries where our service providers are based.
Where we transfer personal information outside the UK or EEA to a country that has not been assessed as providing an adequate level of protection, UK and EU data protection law requires us to put appropriate safeguards in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, before that transfer takes place. We are in the process of formalising these safeguards for our international operations. You can request further information about the current status of these arrangements by contacting us using the details in Section 13.
7. Duties, taxes, and customs
Where you order for delivery outside the United Kingdom, applicable customs duties and import taxes are calculated and collected from you at checkout. This requires us to disclose your order and delivery details to customs authorities and our logistics partners in the destination country as part of the import process. This is a necessary part of international delivery and cannot be opted out of for orders shipped on this basis.
8. How long we keep your personal information
We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected.
- Order, invoice, and payment records: 6 years from the end of the relevant tax year, in accordance with our obligations under UK tax law.
- Account information: for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you wish to reactivate it.
- Marketing contact details: until you unsubscribe, or after 3 years of inactivity, whichever is earlier.
- Live chat and customer service records: for as long as necessary to resolve your enquiry and for a reasonable period afterwards for quality and dispute-resolution purposes.
- Business Listing submissions: for as long as your listing remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards.
Where we no longer need personal information for these purposes, we delete it or anonymise it.
9. How we protect your personal information
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information, including encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) across the Site, restricted access to personal information on a need-to-know basis, and reliance on payment processors that are certified to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard measures and to respond promptly to any incident.
10. Cookies
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:
- Essential cookies — required for the Site to function, including keeping items in your basket and enabling secure checkout. These cannot be switched off.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand how visitors use the Site, so we can improve it.
- Marketing cookies — used, where you consent, to show you relevant advertising and measure its effectiveness.
Where required by law, we will ask for your consent to non-essential cookies when you first visit the Site, and you may change your preferences at any time through your browser settings.
11. Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

- Right to erasure — to request deletion of your personal information, in certain circumstances.
- Right to restrict processing — to request that we limit how we use your personal information in certain circumstances.

- Right to withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 13. We will respond within one month, as required by UK and EU GDPR.
